My participation in Athens audio&radio innovation Startupweekend™
As a first year Communications student I had the opportunity through my ”Business Management” course with Dr Iorganoglou Dimitra to participate in a audio&radio innovation Startupweekend™ event in the ‘Impact Hub’ in Athens on April of 2018.It was a 3-day event were my colleagues and I participated either as creators or audience in this entrepreneurial process.I participated as audience since at the time I had little experience and knowledge on entrepreneurship and media innovation, but despite only observing in this process I gained a lot.I learned about creating new projects and initiatives, about digital innovation, about media development and podcasts-because funny enough,I had no idea at the time what podcasts were!
The organisation of the event was very well-planned and along with gaining new knowledge, my colleagues and I also had lots of fun!On the last day of the event all the teams participating presented the final product of their work through these 3 days of training and learning with mentors on how to develop their innovative ideas.The teams were evaluated by a team of experts in the field of radio and audio communication along with investors for the startup ideas that were presented to us.Among the participants were students,entrepreneurs, media innovators, producers and digital story tellers.
It was a very inspiring and constructive experience that offered me knowledge and fun memories!
